The AI Governance Academy is a Washington, DC–based initiative by ITScybersecurity that trains District residents for high-demand AI governance roles and supports startups in building compliant, investment-ready systems.

As AI systems become embedded across critical industries, a key barrier to adoption is trust and understanding. The Academy equips residents, founders, and institutions to evaluate AI systems, understand governance safeguards, and interpret outputs—enabling confident adoption, reducing risk, and strengthening the District’s technology ecosystem.

The AI Governance Academy serves as a workforce development engine and ecosystem support platform for the District’s emerging technology economy.
